Cycling transportation in area of Šumperk city

Abstract:

Cílem výzkumu této práce je zhodnotit problematiku v kontextu geografie dopravy a analyzovat cyklistickou dopravu na území města Šumperka s návazností na dojížďku z okolních obcí. V této práci jsou vymezeny základní pojmy, které se týkají cyklistické dopravy. Vzhledem k tématu práce je nezbytné se seznámit s cyklistickou infrastrukturou a s faktory, jež rozvoj cyklodopravy podporují. Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na cyklistickou dopravu na území jednoho z měst České republiky, seznamuje proto s institucionálními aspekty na rozvoj cyklodopravy v ČR s takzvanou ?Cyklostrategíí?, která je zpracovaná pro roky 2013 ? 2020. V empirické části této práce se čtenář seznámí s detailní charakteristikou města Šumperka. Je to charakteristika města z hlediska jeho polohy, reliéfu, klimatických podmínek, demografické struktury a samozřejmě dopravy a jejích složek. Nedílnou součástí této práce je popis cyklotras a cyklostezek, které najdeme na území města a také samotný výzkum. Jeho předmětem bylo sčítání cyklistů na vybraných lokalitách ve městě. Lokality jsou zde podrobně popsané a výsledky sčítání jsou zpracované slovně i graficky. Práce slouží k základní orientaci v cyklistických pojmech, infrastruktuře a snahách na podporu rozvoje cyklodopravy, které jsou vyvíjeny na celorepublikové úrovni. Detailně pak čtenáře seznámí s městem Šumperk a jeho konkrétními faktory, které mají vliv na rozvoj cyklistické dopravy, ale také s tím, jak velký objem cyklistické dopravy v Šumperku je.

Abstract:

Goal of the research of this work is to evaluate the issue in the context of transport geography and analysis of cycling in the city of Šumperk in connection with commuting from surrounding villages. The basic concepts related to cycling are in this paper. Due to the work, it is necessary to become familiar with the cycling infrastructure and its factors that encourage the development of bicycle. The thesis is focused on cycling in one of the cities of the Czech Republic, hence introduces the institutional aspects of the development of cycling in the Czech Republic with the ?Cycling Strategy?, which is prepared for the years 2013 ? 2020. In the empirical part of this thesis, the reader gets familiar with the detailed characteristic of Šumperk. It is characteristic of the town in terms of its position, relief, climate, demographic structure, and of course transport and its components. An integral part of this work is the description of bike routes and trails that can be found within the city, as well as the research itself. The object of the research was counting cyclists at selected locations in the city. Locations are described in detail and the results of the census are processed verbally and graphically. Work serves for basic orientation in terms of cycling, infrastructure and efforts to support the development of cycling, which are developed at the national level. The reader gets familiar with details of the city Šumperk and its specific factors that influence the development of cycling, but also with how large volume of cycling in Šumperk is.
