Modern communication tools and their use for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises

Abstract:

Moderní komunikační nástroje velmi rychle pronikly do života lidí i firem a jejich používání se neustále rozšiřuje. Přirozeně se tak stávají významnou součástí marketingové komunikace. Přednosti moderních komunikačních nástrojů, jakými jsou např. sociální sítě, diskusní fóra, sociální záložkovací systémy, wikis či stránky pro sdílení obrázků a videí, spočívají zejména v jejich rychlosti, nízkých nákladech spojených s jejich využíváním a v možnosti intenzivní interakce. Zároveň neustále poměrně rychle roste okruh jejich uživatelů a všeobecná dostupnost. Vhodným využitím těchto komunikačních kanálů může malá a střední firma zlepšovat své jméno, zvyšovat obecné povědomí o značce, ovlivňovat pocity a asociace spojené se značkou, získávat nové zákazníky i posilovat zájem a loajalitu těch stávajících. Nové komunikační nástroje jsou navíc velmi efektivním prostředkem sběru zákaznických dat a informací. Tato práce ve své teoretické části seznamuje čtenáře s problematikou moderních komunikačních nástrojů vhodných pro malé a střední firmy. V části praktické je pak provedena analýza marketingové komunikace ve společnosti BOS, zaměřené na prodej a distribuci filtrů a filtrační techniky. Doporučuje vhodné změny směřující ke zvýšení efektivity této komunikace optimálním využitím moderních komunikačních nástrojů.

Abstract:

Modern communication tools have fully penetrated into the daily lives of people and companies, and their use is becoming more widespread. As such, they are naturally becoming an important part of marketing communication. The benefits of modern communication tools, such as social networks, discussion forums, social tagging, Wikis or sites for sharing picture and video files are mainly in their speed, low user expense and in the possibility of intensive user interaction. At the same time, the number of their users and the overal accessibility of these tools are swiftly rising. Through effective use of these communication tools small or medium-sized enterprises can contribute to its good name and overall knowledge of the brand, influence the feelings and associations about the brand, gain new customers and increase interest and loyality of current customers. Moreover, the new communication tools are a very effective means of gathering customer data and information. The theoretical part of this thesis is an introduction to the problematics of modern communication tools suitable for small and middle size enterprises. The practical part is an analysis of marketing communication in BOS companies, specialised in selling filters and filtration technics. A recommendation of changes aimed at increasing the effectiveness of this communication through optimal use of modern communication tools is also made.
