Pro většinu z nás je válečné prostředí věcí, se kterou se nemůžeme ztotožnit a tudíž záznamy z terénu jsou našimi jedinými okénky do dění válečných konfliktů. Because the reality of war is so far from our own, images captured from the field become the only visuals shaping our understanding of the course of events. This gives war photography a unique power that can be used to influence masses. The aim of this thesis is to illustrate the ways in which such photographs can be used to shape public opinion.
