Orientation of children in contemporary literature obtained through the project of the school reading club

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá reálným dopadem projektu školních čtenářských klubů. Porovnává úroveň čtenářské gramotnosti dětí, které prošli tímto projektem a dětí, které kluby nenavštěvovaly. Zaměřuje se na schopnosti práce s textem, které zahrnují předvídání či převyprávění příběhu, jeho interpretaci a vyvození smysluplných závěrů. Dalšími cíli je zjistit, zda děti rády čtou, případně o čem a jaké jiné trávení volného času upřednostňují. Výzkum byl zaměřen na žáky 3. a 5. ročníků dvou základních škol v Pardubickém kraji. V rámci práce proběhlo skupinové interview, doplněné dotazníkovým šetřením. Další výzkumnou metodou byl rozhovor s učiteli žáků, který sloužil pro doplnění informací.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the real impact of the project of the school reading clubs. It compares the level of reading literacy of the children who have participated in the project and the children who haven´t attended the clubs. This thesis is focused on abilities to work with text that included foreseeing or narrating a story, its interpretation and finding meaningful conclusions. Another objectives are to find out if children like reading, a genre or the specific topic. I am also interested in other leisure time that the children prefer. The research was focused on the pupils of 3. and 5. class at two elementary schools in the Pardubice region. This thesis also contains a group interview complemented by a questionnaire survey. The interviews with the teachers of the pupils, which serve as added information, meant another method of research.
