Addressing unemployment in socially excluded localities

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na řešení nezaměstnanosti v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách. Podrobně se zabývá charakteristikou sociálně vyloučených lokalit, sociálními a ekonomickými dopady obyvatel žijících v těchto lokalitách. Cílem práce je evaluace efektu, konkrétního nástroje řešení nezaměstnanosti v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách, projektu Sociálně vyloučené lokality Ústeckého kraje, ze strany účastníků. Autor dále seznamuje v krátkosti s definicí a druhy nezaměstnanosti, příčinami nezaměstnanosti v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách, které následně ověřuje s realizovaným výzkumem. Práce se dále zaměřuje na analýzu nástrojů řešení nezaměstnanosti těchto lokalit, konkrétní zkoumanou lokalitou je šluknovský výběžek. Na základě získaných teoretických i praktických informací a zkušeností navrhuje autor možná řešení nezaměstnanosti v těchto lokalitách. Výsledkem je zjištění, že v případě získání pracovního místa u dlouhodobého uchazeče o zaměstnání je značný pocit sebeuplatnění, uspokojení, zvýšené sebevědomí a následná motivace k aktivnímu přístupu a orientace na volném trhu práce.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on solving unemployment in socially excluded areas. It deals in detail with the characteristic of socially excluded areas, and the social and economic impact of their population. Objective of this thesis is the evaluation of the effect; a specific tool for solving unemployment in socially excluded areas; Socially excluded areas of the Ústí Region Project, by participants. The author briefly discusses definitions and types and causes of unemployment in socially excluded areas which he further validates by implemented research. The thesis also focuses on the analysis of the tools for solving unemployment in these areas. One specific area of this research is the Šluknov Hook (Šluknovský výběžek). Based on gathered theoretical and practical information and experience the author suggests possible solutions for dealing with the unemployment in these areas. The result of the research is that job seekers who get a job gain considerable feeling of fulfilment, satisfaction, increased self-confidence and further motivation toward active approach and placement on the labour market.
