Application of game theory to business practice

Abstract:

Tématem této práce je teorie her a její použití v praxi. Předložené téma jsem si vybral, abych mohl v průběhu práce detailněji prostudovat tuto důležitou problematiku. Na začátku jsem popsal samotné základy teorie her, jako jsou: pojmy, druhy her, metody řešení a optimalizace problémů. Tématem této práce je teorie her a její využití v praxi. Druhá část popisuje dva praktické úlohy. Nejprve na příkladu je situace, kdy existuje více než jeden bod Nasove rovnováhy. První příklad ukazuje, že za určitých podmínek můžeme jednostranně ovlivnit vývoj situace. Druhý příklad popisuje způsob předpovídání situace na oligopolním trhu z hlediska optimálního sortimentu.

Abstract:

The theme of this degree work is game theory and its use in practice. I chose this theme in order to study it deeper during the process of doing my research. At the beginning of my work I described the main foundations of game theory, such as concepts, types of games, methods of solution and methods of optimization of the tasks. The second part describes two practical tasks. The first on is example of the situation with more than one point of the Nash equilibrium. The first example shows that under certain conditions we can to influence the growth of the situation unilaterally. The second example describes how to predict the situation in an oligopolistic market and the optimal assortment of products.
