Ethical and social aspects of euthanasia

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma Etické a sociální aspekty eutanazie je zaměřena v teoretické části na vymezení pojmu eutanazie, na pohled na eutanazii z různých historických období až po současnou dobu, na etické otázky spjaté s eutanazií, v nichž pojednávám o argumentech pro a proti eutanazii. Dále se zabývá postoji k eutanazii v České republice a v ostatních zemích, paliativní péčí, hospicovou péčí a jejich formami a v neposlední řadě na riziky možného zneužití eutanazie. V praktické části jsem si vytkl za cíl zjistit, jak vnímají respondenti případnou legalizaci eutanazie v České republice, jaký zaujímají postoj, zda by ji legalizovali či nikoliv, znalost pojmu předem vyslovené přání a znalost pojmu paliativní péče.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis on The Ethical and Social Aspects of Euthanasia is focused in theoretical part on the definition of the term euthanasia, euthanasia in various historical periods up to the present day, the ethical issues associated with euthanasia in which I discuss pros and cons. It also deals with attitudes to euthanasia in the Czech Republic and in other countries, palliative care, hospice care and their forms and also risk of potential abuse of euthanasia. In the practical part, I aimed to find out how respondents feel about the possible legalization of euthanasia in the Czech Republic, what is their attitude to legalization, knowledge of the term Do not resuscitate and paliative care.
