Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na specifika překladu deníkových knih pro děti. Práce popisuje specifika překladu dětské literatury obecně a poté konkrétně v případě deníkových knih. K analýze byly vybrána tři díla současných autorů psaná v angličtině a jejich překlady do češtiny. V překladech byly hodnoceny použité tendence a strategie v oblastech specifických pro překlad deníkových knih.

This thesis concerns the specifics of translation of fictional diary-books for children. The specific challenges of translating for children generally are defined, as well as the specifics of translating diary-books. A comparative analysis of three contemporary diary-books for children written in English and their Czech translations follows.
