Práce se zabývá Veřejným ochráncem práv a jeho pravomocí. Kvalifikační práce se zabývá ochranou práv, a také vývojem úřadu ombudsmana. Tato práce obsahuje základní právní ukotvení úřadu Veřejného ochránce práv. Dále diplomová práce obsahuje stručný historický vývoj. Vývoj českého ochránce a pravomoci jsou stěžejní částí práce. My work deals with the Ombudsman and his powers. Qualification work deals with the protection of rights as well as with the development of the Ombudsman's office. This work contains the basic legal anchoring of the Office of the Public Defender of Rights. Furthermore, the thesis contains a concise historical progression.
