Options for the Implementation of Smart (Multifunctional) Cards in Cities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o problematice technologie RFID, zabývá se jejími principy a možnostmi aplikace. V tomto smyslu se práce v teoretické části soustředí na technické prostředky identifikace, zejména na otázku bezkontaktních čipových karet a jejich využití ve strukturálních oblastech, jakými jsou civilní sféra, do níž spadá koncept turistické a městské karty a komerční sféra, která se zaměřuje na specifické implementace RFID v příslušných institucích a subjektech. Součástí teoretické rešerše je příkladová analýza Plzeňské městské karty a turistické karty The London Pass. Praktická část práce se věnuje rozboru konkrétního projektu městské karty City Card, který je v současné době zaváděn na Středním Slovensku. Zaměřuje se na popis cílů a strategií projektu, na analýzu hardwarové a softwarové struktury, podává zhodnocení ekonomické náročnosti projektu a jeho rentability. Závěr praktické analýzy definuje a hodnotí primární i sekundární výhody navrhovaného řešení, objektivně však rozebírá také nevýhody a možná rizika projektu, pro něž navrhuje řešení.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of RFID technology, is engaged in its principles and practical applications. In this sense, the work in the theoretical part focuses on the technical means of identification, particularly on the issue of contactless smart cards and their use in structural areas, such as the civil sphere, which falls within the concept of tourism and city cards and the commercial sector, which focuses on a specific implementations RFID in relevant institutions and subjects. The theoretical research is exemplary analysis of city card used in Pilsen and a tourist card The London Pass. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of the specific project City Card, which is currently being implemented in the Middle Slovak. It focuses on the description of the goals and strategies of the project, analysis of hardware and software structure provides an assessment of the economic performance of the project and its profitability. Conclusion practical analysis defines and evaluates primary and secondary benefits of the proposed solution, however objectively analyses the weakness and possible risks of the project for which it proposes solutions.
