Philosophical reflection on the development of animal status in the modern age
Abstract:
Práce nahlíží historické hledisko vnímání zvířat, primárně z období novověku, kdy docházelo k radikálním posunům v rámci této diskuze. Vydává se po stopách příspěvků známých filosofů této doby, díky kterým bylo postupně konstruováno vnímání zvířete od nemyslící schránky bez práv a cítění až po bytost s morálními právy.
Abstract:
The work focuses the historical aspect of the perception of animals, primarily from the modern era, when there were radical shifts in this discussion. It follows in the footsteps of the contributions of well-known philosophers of this time, thanks to who the perception of the animal was gradually constructed, from an unthinking box without rights and feelings to a being with moral rights.
