Concept of hope in parents of children with ASD

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma Pojetí naděje u matek dětí s poruchou autistického spektra je rozdělena do dvou částí. V první, teoretické části, jsou uvedena teoretická východiska výzkumu – celkový popis problematiky poruch autistického spektra, zahrnující seznámení s etiologií, diagnostikou autismu a s přístupy k terapii autismu; dále tato část obsahuje seznámení s vybranými teoretickými koncepty naděje, s diagnostickými nástroji a výzkumem v této oblasti. Výzkumná část je věnována představení výsledků práce, zaměřené na popis toho, jak matky dětí s autismem vnímají vlastní pojetí naděje v kontextu vývojové poruchy jejich dítěte; dále hledá a mapuje možné souvislosti současné naděje matek a některých jejich postojů, jako jsou například náhled na etiologii a možnosti terapie autismu, a rovněž zkoumá vztahy mezi nadějí a dalšími aspekty života s autistickým dítětem, zejména závažností poruchy, komunikačních dovedností a výskytem problémového chování.

Abstract:

Thesis on concept of hope for mothers of children with autistic spectrum disorder is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part, are listed theoretical background research - a full description of the problem of autism spectrum disorders, including familiarization with etiology, diagnosis of autism and approaches to the treatment of autism; this section also contains an introduction to selected theoretical concepts of hope, diagnostic tools, and research in this area. The research part is devoted to the presentation of the results of the work focused on describing how mothers of children with autism perceive their own conception of hope in the context of developmental disorders of the child; further searches and maps the possible associations of current mothers hope and some of their attitudes, such as insight into the etiology and treatment possibilities for autism, and also explores the relationship between hope and other aspects of living with an autistic child), especially the severity of the disorder, communication skills and the occurrence of problem behaviors.
