Socio-Technical Analysis of a Service

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyse, design and application of strategic measures designed to help the selected part of the organisation to improve in terms of the delivery of their services. The introductory part describes important theoretical concepts of organisational behaviour and theory of socio- technical systems. Subsequently, the organisation and the service analysed are briefly presented. The main part of the thesis is the socio-technical analysis of the Masaryk University user education service. At the end of the analysis, a series of possible measures is proposed to achieve greater efficiency and minimization of uncertainties. The penultimate part describes in detail the reorganisation process and practically depicts the prototype of the new service. The last part contains a brief discussion on the achieved knowledge and future prospects.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je analyzovať, navrhnúť a implementovať opatrenia, ktoré pomôžu vybranej časti organizácie v zlepšení poskytovania svojich služieb. V úvodnej časti sú popísané dôležité teoretické koncepty organizačného správania a teórie socio-technických systémov. Následne je stručne predstavená organizácia a analyzovaná služba. Hlavnou časťou práce je socio-technická analýza služby vzdelávania používateľov Masarkyovej univerzity. V závere analýzy je navrhnutá séria možných opatrení k dosiahnutiu väčšej efektivity a minimalizácií zistených nejasností. Predposledná časť detailne popisuje reorganizáciu a prakticky znázorňuje podobu prototypu novej služby. Posledná časť obsahuje krátku diskusiu k dosiahnutým poznatkom a budúcim vyhliadkám.
