Physical activity of 8th and 9th grade elemetary school pupils before and during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá pohybovou aktivitou žáků 8. a 9. tříd základních škol před a během pandemie Covid - 19. Cílem práce je na základě analýzy výsledků vlastního výzkumného šetření zjistit, jaká byla pohybové aktivita před pandemií a během ní. Do jaké míry se žáků dotkla protiepidemiologická opatření vzhledem k jejich sportovním aktivitám a tělesné výchově. Teoretická část se věnuje tématu pohybové aktivity a jejího příznivého vlivu na organismus a vývoj dětí. Tuto část uzavíráme tématem tělesné výchovy na školách a její důležitosti ve školství. Praktická část se zaměřuje na volnočasové pohybové aktivity a na intenzitu výuky tělesné výchovy u žáků a dále také na aktivní sportovce, kteří navíc docházejí na tréninky. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 76 respondentů. K zajištění výsledků pro praktickou část jsme zvolili vlastní dotazníkové šetření spolu s diářem, který žáci vyplňovali během jednoho týdne a pojednával o jejich vykonané pohybové aktivitě. Výsledky výzkumu například poukázaly, že děti si během pandemie navykly sportovat venku v přírodě, nicméně sportují méně než před pandemií. Více než polovina aktivních sportovců nedochází na tréninky a distanční výuka tělesné výchovy probíhala pouze u 30 % žáků.

Abstract:

The text of the abstract. This diploma work deals with the physical activity of the 8th and 9th classes´ pupils of the elementary school during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the work is, based on the analysis of the results of our own research, to find out what was the physical activity before and during the pandemics. In what measure have the antiepidemiological measures touched the pupils due to their sport activities and PE lessons? The theoretical part deals with the subject of the physical activity and its positive influence on the organism and the children´s evolution. I end this part with the subject of the PE lessons at schools and its importance in the education system. The practical part focuses on the leisure-time physical activities and the teaching intensity of PE to the pupils and also on the active sportsmen who attend extra trainings. 76 responders have token the part in this research. To arrange the results for the practical part I have chosen my own survey together with the diary, that the pupils filled in during one week and it concerns their performed physical activity. The research results shown for example that the children got used to do sports outside in the nature during the pandemics however they do sports less than before the pandemics. More than a half of the active sportsmen doesn´t attend the trainings and the distant education of the PE took place only at 30 % of the pupils.
