Language acquisition of Czech in blind children

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zmapovat osvojování češtiny u nevidomých dětí. První, teoretická část práce, popisuje typy zrakového postižení, statistiky nevidomých, počáteční komunikaci mezi matkou a nevidomým dítětem, samotné osvojování jazyka, Braillovo písmo a školní vzděláváni nevidomých. Druhá, praktická část, se věnuje výzkumu. Výzkumné šetření je realizováno prostřednictvím metody dotazníku a rozhovoru. Stanoveny jsou tři hlavní výzkumné otázky, a to, zda jsou nevidomí opožděni v osvojování a vývoji českého jazyka, jak si nevidomí osvojují barvy a zda existují odchylky v češtině u nevidomých. V závěru práce je vyhodnocení hypotéz a prezentace samotných rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to map the acquisition of Czech language in blind children. The first, theoretical part, covers types of visual impairment, statistics about the blind, initial communication between a mother and her sightless child, the language development itself, Braille and school education. The second, practical part, is dedicated to research realized by questionnaires and interviews. Three main areas of interest are defined - whether the blinds are delayed in the acquisition of Czech language skills, how they learn colors and whether there exist any irregularities in their Czech. The final part of the thesis covers the evaluation of established hypotheses and the presentation of the interviews.
