This diploma thesis focuses on the examination of the knowledge of nurses about tracheostomy suctioning. The theoretical part summerizes the available theoretical knowledge concerning airway management, nursing care of tracheostomy and possibilities to acquire the knowledge for nurses to be competent at tracheostomy.
