Crime prevention system in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá systémem prevence kriminality v České republice. Nejprve se zaměřuje na základní pojmy této problematiky a poté na klasifikaci prevence a rozděluje ji podle okruhu adresátů a podle obsahového členění. Věnuje se subjektům a úrovním systému prevence kriminality včetně programů prevence kriminality na místní úrovni a jejich typům či financování. Zmíněna je rovněž prevence u dětí a mládeže a jsou představeny některé konkrétní projekty prevence kriminality orientované na tuto skupinu. Součástí bakalářské práce je výzkumné šetření v rámci, kterého byly shromážděny údaje od studentů druhého stupně základních škol a studentů středních škol. Výzkumné šetření zjišťuje názory respondentů na účinnost různých metod prevence kriminality nebo největší vlivy na páchání trestné činnosti a prostřednictvím výsledků ověřuje stanovené hypotézy.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the system of crime prevention in the Czech Republic. First, it focuses on the basic terminology used in this field and then it presents a classification of various types of prevention, which are divided on the basis of their recipients and their content. It pays attention to the executive’s agencies of and the levels of the crime prevention system, including locally-based crime prevention programs, their types and specific ways of their funding. Prevention in children and adolescents is also mentioned and certain crime prevention projects aimed at this group are presented. A part of this bachelor´s thesis is a research investigation within the scope of which data was collected in a sample of pupils from the second stage in elementary schools and from secondary schools. The research gathers information about opinions on the efficacy of various methods of crime prevention and on main factors contributing to criminal behavior in order to verify formulated hypotheses.
