The Use of the Franciscan Monasteries after their Abolition in 1950

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá františkánskými kláštery na území dnešní České republiky, které Řád menších bratří užíval v roce 1950. Stručně se zmiňuje o jejich dřívější historii a věnuje se jim v období po druhé světové válce. Přibližuje průběh Akce K, během níž byly kláštery zabrány a řeholníci převezeni na jiná místa. Dále se zabývá využitím těchto objektů až do pádu režimu a následně sleduje jejich další osudy až do současnosti. Práce se zároveň zabývá tím, jak bylo nakládáno s klášterními knihovnami, archivy a uměleckými díly.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the Franciscan monasteries on the territory of today?s Czech Republic, which used the Franciscans in 1950. Briefly mentions their earlier history and works with them in the period after the Second World War. This thesis approaches the Actin K, in which monasteries were confiscated and religious transferred to the other places. It also deals with the use of these facilities until the fall of the régime and subsequently monitor their fates until now. The work also discusses how to were treated with monastic libraries, archives and works of art.
