Premarital and marital counseling in the years 1965 - 1990 in Ostrava

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na analýzu historického vývoje manželského poradenství v Ostravě v letech 1965 - 1990. Vznik a rozvoj poradny je popsán v rámci sociální politiky s ohledem na politickou, sociální a kulturní historii našeho státu, tehdejší ČSSR. V práci je využita strategie historického výzkumu, kdy pro naplnění cíle byly použity různé výzkumné techniky. Výzkumná data vycházejí ze zdrojů primárního i sekundárního charakteru, primární zdroje byly čerpány z Archívu města Ostravy, doplněny odbornými publikacemi z let 1965 - 1990, mapujících historii našeho státu. Výsledkem diplomové práce je ucelený popis manželského poradenství v Ostravě ve sledovaném historickém období.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with analyzing the history and evolution of institutionalized premarital and marital counseling for couples in Ostrava in the years 1965 - 1990 and takes into account political, social and cultural history of our state in looking at the social policies developed. The thesis uses the methods of historical research, when uses various methods in establishing the objective reality of the researched subject. All research data are taken from primary and secondary sources. Primary sources in this work are from the Ostrava Archive, and are used side by side with publications focusing on the history of our state during years 1965 to 1990. This allows the information about counselling to be put into context and to be perceived in its full complexity.
