Postgres Lifecycle Management Operators in Kubernetes

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis provides an overview of Postgres, Kubernetes, and Kubernetes operators. It includes a description of the Postgres system life cycle, the identification of suitable operators, and their detailed description. Additionally, the theoretical part involves defining metrics appropriate for testing the operators and establishing a methodology for conducting such tests. In the practical part of the thesis, the emphasis is placed on testing the identified operators and evaluating the outcomes of the testing process. Ultimately, the bachelor thesis concludes by presenting recommendations for suitable operators based on the results obtained from the testing phase.

Abstract:

Teoretická část bakalářské práce se zabývá popisem Postgresu, Kubernetes a Kubernetes operátorů, definicí životního cyklu systému Postgres, hledáním vhodných operátorů a jejich popisem, stanovením metrik vhodných pro testování operátorů a vytvořením metodiky pro jejich testování. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na testování těchto operátorů a vyhodnocení provedených testů. V závěru bakalářská práce přináší doporučení vhodných operátorů na základě výsledků testování.
