Variscan hydrothemal veins in siliciclastic rocks of the Moravosilesian Palaeozoic

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na studium fluidních inkluzí v minerálech hydrotermálních žilách z kulmských klastických sedimentů ze západní části Nízkého Jeseníku u obcí Břidličná a Valšov. V první části práce byly popsány obecně fluidní inkluze, geologická stavba zájmové oblasti a použité metody studia. Pro studium žil byla použita optická mikroskopie, elektronová mikroanalýza a skenovací elektronová mikroskopie. Jako hlavní metoda studia fluidních inkluzí byla použita mikrotermometrie. Chloritová termometrie posloužila spolu s mikrotermometrickým měřením k interpretaci P-T podmínek vzniku hydrotermálních žil. Fluidní inkluze byly studovány pouze v křemeni. Nejdříve byla popsána jejich petrografie – rozmístění v krystalu, tvar, velikost a fázové složení. Poté byla provedena samotná mikrotermometrie. Celkem bylo měřeno 64 fluidních inkluzí. Teploty homogenizace byly ve velkém rozptylu od 115°C až k 350°C. Eutektické teploty, okolo -21,2°C nám určují chemický systém H2O-NaCl. Teploty tání nám udávají nízké salinity roztoků, 0,5-8 hm. % NaCl ekv. Teploty chloritové termometrie jsou v rozmezí cca 175-285°C, což se celkem dobře shoduje s teplotami homogenizací.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on study of fluid inclusions from hydrothermal veins minerals in lower Carboniferous siliciclastic sediments. Samples were taken from Paleozoic flysch from Nízký Jeseník Uplands near towns Břidličná and Valšov. Fluid inclusions – in general, geology of study area and used methods were described in the first part of this thesis. Optic microscopy, electron microprobe analysis and scanning electron microscopy were used for hydrothermal veins study. Microthermometry was the main method used for study of fluid inclusions. Chlorite thermometry was used in combination with microthermometric measurement to interpretation of P-T conditions of formation conditions of hydrothermal veins. Fluid inclusions were study only within a quartz. The petrology of fluid inclusions were described firstly – arrangement within a crystal, shape, size and phase composition. Then the microthermometry was done. 64 fluid inclusions were measured. Wide dispersion of homogenization temperatures were measured – from 115°C to almost 350°C. We can estimate the chemical system H2O-NaCl from eutectic temperatures (about -21,2°C). We can calculate also the salinity of included solutions – 0,5-8 wt. % NaCl eqv. – from cryometric temperatures. The temperatures from chlorite thermometry ranging between 175-285°C. These data correspond to microthermometric measurement.
