Policemen Life Mastering in Extreme Situations

Abstract:

Již samotný název této práce "Zvládání života příslušníků Policie ČR v mimořádných situacích" napovídá o tom, že vedle profesní stránky, ve které se policisté potýkají se zvýšenou psychickou zátěží, vedou také i svůj vlastní soukromý život. Cílem bakalářské práce je prozkoumat a zjistit jakými způsoby se policisté vyrovnávají s následky mimořádně náročných situací a událostí v souvislosti s jejich psychickou zátěží a co jim v této situaci pomáhá. Zejména pak se bude v této práci jednat o policisty v přímém výkonu služby jakožto základního pilíře služby Policie ČR. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na organizační strukturu Policie ČR, popis profesní role příslušníků policie služby pořádkové policie, tedy samotnou policejní práci, sociální výhody a péči o policisty. Dále výklad základních pojmů v souvislosti s mimořádnou událostí a jejím zvládáním jako jsou komunikačně náročné situace, krizové situace, psychické aspekty mimořádných událostí, odolnost a krizová připravenost, zvládání emocí, potřeby a reakce osob zasažených mimořádnou událostí, syndrom vyhoření, posttraumatická stresová porucha, podpora rodiny policisty při mimořádných událostech. V závěru teoretické části je práce zaměřena na ochranu psychického zdraví příslušníků zasahujících u mimořádných událostí, psychosociální krizové pomoci a péči příslušníkům Policie ČR. V praktické části je prezentován empirický výzkum s cílem prozkoumat a zjistit jak - jakým způsobem policisté zvládají, reagují, řeší a vyrovnávají se s prožitím a prožíváním mimořádně náročných situací a událostí, což je hlavní výzkumnou otázkou této práce, která je dále opřena o další dílčí výzkumné otázky. Výzkum byl proveden formou dotazníkového šetření a vzhledem k současnému stavu spojenému s probíhající pandemií onemocnění COVID - 19 způsobené coronavirem SARS-CoV-2 na našem území, rovněž v jedné z otázek doplněn o vlivu této situace na psychickou zátěž respondentů jak z profesního, tak i rodinného života. Výsledky jsou zpracovány do tabulek a grafů, které jsou součástí práce a komentářem výsledků.

Abstract:

From the title of the thesis itself, which is "Management of the Czech Police members in extreme situations", it's clear that besides the professional side of their life that means an elevated mental stress, the policemen lead their own private life. The aim of the thesis is to search and find out the ways how the policemen face out the consequences of extreme situations and events in connection with the mental stress, and what helps them in such situations. The thesis is focused especially on the policemen in direct service who represent the fundamental unit of the Czech Police. The thesis is divided into a theoretic and a practical part. The theoretic part focuses on the organization structure of the Czech Police, describes the professional role of policemen, which means the police work itself, social advantages and policemen care. Then, there are definitions of basic terms connected with extreme situations and their management, such as demanding situations in term of communication, emergency cases, psychological aspects of extreme situations, endurance and crisis awareness, emotions mastering, requirements and reactions of people affected by extreme situations, burnout, posttraumatic stress syndrome, policemen family support in extreme situations. At the close of the theoretical part, the protection of policemen's mental health, psychosocial crisis help and care of the Czech Police members are described. The practical part contains an empirical research which aims to search and find out how the policemen react, solve, face out and cope with the experience of extreme situations and events. This is the main research target of the present thesis and it's based on other partial research targets. The research was affected in the form of a questionnaire. Due to the present situation with the COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in our area, one of the questions concerns the effect of this situation on the informants' mental stress from the professional as well as private point of view. The results are processed into charts and diagrams that make a part of the thesis and are completed by comments.
