Market of translation and interpreting services for the French language offered by translation agencies in a selected region of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis was a market research of translation agencies in Ostrava. The research was focused on services they provide in terms of translation and interpretation, their quality and offer. In the first part of the work, we dealt with the concepts of translation, interpreting in general and their division. We also mentioned the necessity to perform the function of a court interpreter and his responsibilities. In the second part, we examined each translation agency separately with the help of multiple anonymous emails of the respective agencies and an anonymous questionnaire that was sent to all of the agencies. Subsequently, we created a separate portfolio for each of the agencies along with data and information collected.

Le but de ce mémoire de licence fut d'étudier le marché des agences de traduction et d'interprétation ? Ostrava, d'observer leurs services, leur qualité proposée ainsi que leurs offres de prix. Dans la premi?re partie de notre travail, nous avons traité les termes et les types spécifiques de traduction et de l'interprétation. Nous avons également mentionné les obligations et devoirs d'exécution du rôle d'un interpr?te assermenté. Dans la deuxi?me partie, nous avons étudié chaque agence de traduction particuli?rement avec l'aide de plusieurs adresses électroniques anonymes, des sites concrets des agences et par un questionnaire anonyme envoyé au préalable. Nous avons créé le portfolio pour chaque agence séparément avec les dates et les informations que nous avons découvertes.
