Cílem diplomové práce je posoudit vhodnost zjednodušené četby k výuce anglického jazyka s důrazem na akvizici aktivní slovní zásoby a rozvinutí celkové znalosti jazyka. Pozitivní účinky extenzivního čtení byly prokázany mnoha studiemi, nicméně existuje několik výtek vůči malé autenticitě a nedostatečné frekvenci opakování slovní zásoby pro její následnou akvizici. The main aim of this thesis is to consider the suitability of Graded reading for teaching English with the main focus on active vocabulary acquisition and improvement in the overall level of English.
