Interactions between children at the After School Club

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá interakcí mezi dětmi ve školní družině, která probíhá formou volné hry. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části jsou popsané charakteristiky vývoje v mladším školním věku. Pozornost je věnovaná vrstevnickým vztahům v tomto období. Zabývá se školní družinou jako institucí a popisuje kolektiv a komunikaci dětí ve školní družině. Definuje hru a zaměřuje se na komunikaci skrze ni a volnou hru. V empirické části je popsaná metodologie výzkumného šetření a interpretovány výsledky z kvantitativního výzkumu, který byl prováděn prostřednictvím strukturovaného pozorování. Podává informace o tom, jaké skupiny děti ke hře vytváří, kolik času v nich tráví a jaké hry si volí. Popisuje také typy dětí, které se při hře vyskytují a jejich vazby na herní skupiny.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the interaction among children at After School Club. This interaction is done though a free game. The thesis has two major parts – the theoretical background and the empirical part. The theoretical background describes characteristics of children’s progress in younger school age with the focus on relationships among children of the same age. This part deals with at After School Club as an institution, it describes the group of children at the After School Club and the internal communication among its members. It defines the term game and it focuses on communication through game and especially through free game. The empirical part introduces the methodology of the research and it interprets results from the quantitative research which was carried out through structured observation. This part informs about the groups that children create for games, how much time they spend by playing the games and what types of games they choose to play. Typology of children that occur in the games is also described in this part as well as are children’s bindings to game groups.
