Adaptation, its measurement, the influence of pathology on the quality of life

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zpracovává téma adaptace oka, adaptační měřící metody a vliv patologie na kvalitu života. Po úvodu je popsána stručně anatomie oka a fyziologie vidění, kde je zejména popis vzniku zrakového vjemu. V další kapitole se práce zabývá samotnou adaptací oka na světlo a tmu. Mezi rozsáhlou kapitolu patří měření adaptace. Zde je popsán princip adaptometrů a elektrofyziologických vyšetřovacích metod, které zahrnují elektroretinografii, elektrookulografii a zrakové evokované potenciály. Poslední kapitola se soustředí na možné patologie a degenerace sítnice, které mohou adaptaci ovlivňovat, zejména pigmentová degenerace.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the adaptation of the eye, its measurements methods and the influence of pathology on the quality of the life. After an introduction the anatomy of the eye and physiology of the eye vision are briefly desribed, where describes mainly the creation of visual perception. The next chapter deals with dark adaptation. The extensive chapter describes the measurement of adaptation. There is described the principle of adaptomerers and electrophysiological examination methods, including electroretinography, electrooculography and visual evoked potentials. The last chapter focuses on pathologies and degeneration of the retina that may affect the adaptation.
