Tourism problems related to tourist's cultural differences and prevention possibilities

Abstract:

The work deals with problems in tourism related to the cultural differences of tourists, namely with the differences of Jewish culture. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to define the problems of Jewish culture in tourism, focusing on cultural differences and specifics, and the appreciation of the knowledge of Jewish culture among employees of four to five star hotels in the capital Prague. The bachelor thesis is divided into three parts. In the first, theoretical-methodological part, concepts as culture and its brief development, multiculturalism and interculturalism, spiritual life and Jewishness are discussed. The second, analytical part is devoted to the analysis of secondary data, the summary of the electronic interview and the results of the questionnaire survey. This questionnaire survey has two parts in electronic form. The first questionnaire examines the knowledge of Jewish culture to the general public and the second examines the knowledge of Jewish culture among hotel employees in the wider center of Prague. The third part is the suggestion part, where I propose solutions to problems related to the cultural differences of tourists in tourism.

Abstract:

V práci sú rozoberané problémy v cestovnom ruchu súvisiace s kultúrnymi odlišnosťami turistov, konkrétne s odlišnosťami židovskej kultúry. Cieľom bakalárskej práce je definovať odlišnosti, špecifiká a problémy židovskej kultúry v cestovnom ruchu a zhodnotenie znalostí o židovskej kultúre u pracovníkov štyri až päť hviezdičkových hotelov v hlavnom meste Praha. Bakalárska práca je rozdelená do troch častí. V prvej, teoreticko-metodologickej časti, sú rozoberané pojmy ako kultúra a jej stručný vývoj, multikulturalizmus a interkulturalizmus, duchovný život, židovstvo a jeho tradície. Druhá, analytická časť, je venovaná analýze sekundárnych dát, zhrnutiu elektronického rozhovoru a výsledkom dotazníkového šetrenia. Toto dotazníkové šetrenie má dve časti v elektronickej podobe. Prvý dotazník skúma znalosť židovskej kultúry širokej verejnosti a druhý skúma znalosti židovskej kultúry u pracovníkov v oblasti hotelierstva v širšom centre mesta Praha. Treťou časťou je návrhová časť, kde navrhujem riešenie problémov spojených s kultúrnymi odlišnosťami turistov v cestovnom ruchu.
