The Issue of Nicotinism among Healthcare Professionals in Intensive Care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je složena z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části se práce věnuje epidemiologii a historii kouření, druhům tabákových výrobků, typologii kuřáků. Zabývá se závislostí na nikotinu, její diagnostikou, léčbou a prevencí. Zaměřuje se, jaké jsou účinky kouření na zdraví. Zmíněné bylo i často označované kontroverzní téma Harm reduction. Teoretická část práce se také věnovala problematice kouření zdravotnických pracovníků. V empirické části práce je proveden průzkum prostřednictví dotazníkového šetření. To bylo provedeno mezi zdravotnickými pracovníky pracujícími v intenzivní péči. Výsledkem dotazníkového šetření byl zisk dat, která byla zpracována a zanalyzována. Data byla následně diskutována s pracemi a výzkumy jiných autorů, které se věnovaly této problematice. Na základě poznatků z teoretické a praktické části práce bylo vytvořeno doporučení pro praktické využití.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the epidemiology and history of smoking, types of tobacco products, typology of smokers. It deals with nicotine addiction, its diagnosis, treatment and prevention. It focuses on the effects of smoking on health. The often-controversial topic of Harm Reduction was also mentioned. The theoretical part of the thesis also dealt with the issue of smoking by health care workers. In the empirical part of the thesis, a survey is conducted through a questionnaire research. This was conducted among health care workers working in intensive care. As a result of the questionnaire research, data was obtained and analyzed. The data was then discussed with the works and researches of other authors who have dealt with this issue. Based on the findings from the theoretical and practical part of the work, recommendations for practical application were made.
