Use of the Little Room in Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím pomůcky Little Room v dětské ergoterapii. Hlavním cílem je zjistit možnosti využití této pomůcky v praxi dětského ergoterapeuta. V teoretické části jsou v krátkosti prezentovány dopady jednotlivých disabilit na funkční schopnosti dětí, důležitost hry v dětském věku, pomůcka Little Room a jeho návaznost na ergoterapii, zakladatelka Little Roomu Lilli Nielsen a její metoda Aktivního učení. Dále je také prezentována práce ergoterapeuta v pediatrii a hodnotící nástroje, které jsou využívány v praktické části. V praktické části je popsán postup výroby vlastního Little Roomu a výčet využitých předmětů. Dále jsou v této části prezentovány kazuistiky tří probandů, na kterých proběhlo testování využití Little Roomu. U každého probanda jsou popsány jednotlivé terapie, cíl, vstupní a závěrečná vyšetření. Výsledky terapií jsou popsány na konci jednotlivých kazuistik a možnosti využití pomůcky Little Room jsou uvedeny v diskuzi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of the Little Room in pediatric occupational therapy. The aim of this work is to find out the possibilities of using Little Room in practice of pediatric occupational therapist. The theoretical part briefly presents the effects of individual disabilities on the functional abilities of children, the importance of play in childhood, the Little Room and its connection to occupational therapy, the founder of the Little Room Lilli Nielsen and her method of Active Learning. Furthermore, the work of a pediatric occupational therapist and evaluation tools that are used in practical part are also presented. The practical part describes the process of production of your own Little Room and a list of used items. In this section, case studies of three probands are presented, on which the use of the Little Room was tested. The individual therapies, goal, initial and final examinations are described for each proband. The results are described at the end of each case study and the possibilities of using the Little Room are listed in the discussion.
