The bachelor thesis deals with the role of communists in the Slovak National Uprising and changes in the historiographical treatment of the SNP over time. The thesis first focuses on a brief history and organization of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (and later Slovakia) itself, from 1921 until 1944, when the uprising broke out.
