Geometric abstraction

Abstract:

Pro svou bakalářskou práci jsem si zvolila téma geometrická abstrakce, v které jsem se snažila zachytit dění na autobusové zastávce v různých časových úsecích. Každý obraz je malovaný v jiné barvě a jejich odstínech. Tyto barvy mají znázorňovat různé části dne. V teoretické části se zabývám historií abstraktního umění, geometrickou abstrakcí a také malíři, kteří mě v tomto směru inspirovali svými obrazy i postupy práce. V praktické části jsem prvně pracovala s fotografiemi autobusové zastávky, ve kterých jsem hledala inspiraci pro mé obrazy. Následně jsem tvořila samotné obrazy a jejich instalaci na autobusové zastávce. Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo zachytit v různých částech dne to, co se na autobusové zástavce odehrávalo a jak jsem to vnímala.

Abstract:

For my bachelor's thesis I chose the theme of geometric abstraction. I tried to capture the action at the bus stop in different time periods. Each image is painted in a different colour and their shades. These colours are meant to represent different parts of the day. In the theoretical part I discuss the history of abstract art, geometric abstraction and also the painters who inspired me in this direction with their paintings and working methods. In the practical part, I worked with photographs of a bus stop to find inspiration for my paintings. As follows I created the paintings and installed them on the bus stop. The aim of my undergraduate thesis was to capture what was happening at the bus stop in different parts of the day and how I perceived it.
