Abstract:

Práce se zabývá modelovými strukturami a Grothendieckovou konstrukcí. Konstrukce poskytuje 2-ekvivalenci mezi Grothendieckovými fibracemi a indexovanými kategoriemi. Ukazuje se, že právě tyto 2-kategorie lze vyjádřit jako algebry pro vhodnou 2-monádu. V práci také uvádíme větu o zvedání modelových struktur skrze adjunkci. Společně tyto poznatky umožňují zkonstruovat a převést modelovou strukturu představenou Stephenem Lackem v článku "Homotopy-theoretic aspects of 2-monads" na 2-kategorii fibrací. Součástí této snahy ukazujeme, že tato modelová struktura je kofibrantně generovaná. Celou tuto konstrukci pak převádíme na tzv. komprehenční kategorie, které jsou postaveny právě na již zmíněných fibracích. Představují nástroj ke kategorickému modelování sémantiky dependant type theory; například Martin-Löf type theory. Završením práce je převedení modelové struktury z kategorií fibrací na komprehenční kategorie s nadějí, že následné studium této nové modelové struktury může přinést další poznatky v rámci sémantiky teorie typů. V závěru pak některé výsledky převádíme do této sémantiky a nabádáme čtenáře k dalším potencionálním směrům studia vytvořené struktury.

Abstract:

The thesis revolves around model structures and the Grothendieck construction. The construction shows that there is a 2-equivalence between Grothendieck fibrations and indexed categories. It turns out that we are able to describe these 2-categories as algebras of a specific 2-monad. In the thesis, we also present theorems about lifting model structures via an adjunction. All these topics then provide a method of transferring the model structure introduced by Stephen Lack in his article "Homotopy-theoretic aspects of 2-monads" to the 2-category of fibrations. As a part of this process, we also show that the model structure is cofibrantly generated. We then transfer the model structure onto the comprehension categories, which are built on top of the already mentioned fibrations. They represent a tool to categorically model the semantics of dependent type theory; for example, Martin-Löf type theory. Rounding off the thesis, we transfer the fibration's model structure to comprehension categories with the hope that further analysis of this new model structure would uncover some new insights into type theory semantics. In the conclusion, we translate some results in terms of the semantics and encourage the reader to further study the model structure by mentioning a few immediate directions for further research.
