Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou uplatňování žen ve věku 18 - 35 let na trhu práce. Tato věková kategorie žen byla vybrána záměrně, s ohledem na přetrvávající předsudky a genderové stereotypy vůči těmto ženám, a to zejména ze strany zaměstnavatelů. Zaměstnavatelé na ženy v tomto věku pohlížejí jako na ženy - matky či ženy-potencionální matky. Jsou přesvědčeni o tom, že primární úlohou žen je péče o domov, tedy že tyto ženy musí svoji pozornost a energii dělit mezi rodinu a práci a v důsledku toho nejsou dostatečně flexibilní a nejsou schopny podávat maximální pracovní výkon. Také jsem chtěla volbou tématu ukázat, že i přes snahu o zlepšení, zejména v posledních letech, zůstává prostředí trhu práce v České republice k mladým ženám diskriminační. V teoretické části práce představuji definice základních teoretických konceptů, v metodologické části se zabývám identifikací postupu sběru dat a metodologickými postupy. Jako výzkumnou metodu jsem použila polostandardizovaný rozhovor. V empirické části pak představuji samotná zjištění z rozhovorů v kontextu teoretických konceptů uvedených v teoretické části práce. Na empirickou část navazují opatření, která by mohla zlepšit pozici žen ve věku 18 - 35 let na trhu práce a podpořit rovnost mužů a žen na trhu práce.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of women's implementation aged 18 - 35 years in the labor market in the Czech Republic. This age category of women was chosen deliberately, because of the persisting gender stereotypes and prejudices against these women, especially by employers. Employers look upon women in this age as the mother or woman-potential mothers and they are convinced that the primary role of women is the care of the home, therefore, that these women must devide their attention and energy into family and work, and as a result of, they are not flexible enough and they are not able to provide maximum performance. I also wanted to show by my selection of this topic that despite efforts to improve, especially in recent years, the labor market remains for young women discriminatory in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is the definition of basic theoretical concepts in the methodology section deals with the identification process of data collection and methodological procedures. I used semi-structured interview as a research method. In the empirical part I presented findings from interviews in the context of theoretical concepts mentioned in the theoretical part. Empirical part is followed by measures and options that could improve the position of women aged 18 - 35 years in the labor market and promote gender equality in the labor market.
