Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnotit stav světového trhu s technickým konopím na základě analyzovaní vývojů významných regionálních trhů a následně odhadnout jeho budoucí vývoj. Práce se skládá ze 4 hlavních kapitol. V první kapitola, která je čistě teoretické, je cílem seznámit čtenáře s rozdíly mezi druhy konopí, zejména mezi konopím pro lékařské účely a technickým konopím. Dále má čtenáře seznámit s různými způsoby pěstování a kultivace konopí a v neposlední řadě i s využitím konopí v různých průmyslových odvětvích, a to jak z historického hlediska, tak i současnosti. Ve druhé kapitole identifikujeme současnou legislativu týkající se konopí napříč vybranými státy z důvodu neexistence jednotné mezinárodní legislativy. Na závěr této kapitoly se seznámíme s významnými organizacemi, asociacemi a spolky zaobírajíce se konopím. Třetí kapitola se zaobírá trhem konopí, kde budou identifikováni největší světoví producenti dle pěstební plochy, objemu produkce i hektarové výnosnosti, kteří budou díky těmto statistikám následně porovnáni. Následně se zaměříme na vývoj světového trhu s touto plodinou, kde si následně světový trh rozdělíme na regiony a zároveň identifikujeme pro konopí významná odvětví dle podílu na nejvýznamnějších trzích. Dále v této kapitole budou zmapovány mezinárodní toky s konopím, tedy největší dovozci a vývozci jednotlivých částí technického konopí, kterými jsou konopný stonek, konopné semínko a konopné pazdeří. V poslední části této kapitoly budou představeny významné společnosti zpracovávající technické konopí ve světě. Ve čtvrté kapitole si zhodnotíme současnou situaci trhu s technickým konopím s ohledem na předchozí kapitoly. Zhodnocení bude obsahovat i SWOT analýzu, tedy zhodnocení silných a slabých stránek trhu s technickým konopím a jeho příležitostmi a hrozbami. Dále v této kapitole bude predikován možný budoucí vývoj na základě zjištěných dat a na závěr kapitoly se budeme zabývat možnými dopady pandemie Covid-19 na trh s konopím.

Abstract:

The objective of this master's thesis is to evaluate the global state of the hemp market and to predict its' future development. The work is divided into 4 main chapters; the first chapter will give a theoretical overview in which the aim is to acquainte the reader with the differences between the various types of hemp, but particularly between hemp designed for medical purposes and industrial hemp. Additionally, this chapter aims to recount the various ways of growing and cultivating hemp, as well as describing the use of hemp in various industries, with both historical and contemporary examples. In the second chapter this paper will outline current legislation on hemp across selected countries due to the lack of uniform international legislation. At the end of this chapter we'll take a look at the important organizations, associations and societies that deal with hemp. The third chapter focuses on the hemp market, where the world's largest producers will be identified based on the factors of; cultivation area, production volume and yield per hectare. A comparison between the producers will then be discussed - the statistics will be based on the aforementioned factors. Subsequently, the focus will switch to the development of the world market for this crop, in which the world market will be divided into regions whilst also identifying important sectors for hemp according to their share of the most important markets. Further in this chapter, international flows of hemp will be mapped out, i.e. the largest importers and exporters of individual parts of industrial hemp - which are the hemp stem, hemp seed and hemp yarn. The last part of this chapter will introduce the major companies that process hemp across the world. In the fourth chapter, an evaluation of the current situation of the industrial hemp market will be carried out with regard to the previous chapters. The evaluation will include a SWOT analysis, i.e. an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the industrial hemp market and the opportunities and threats it faces. Further in this chapter, possible future developments will be predicted on the basis of the data obtained, and at the end of the chapter we will deal with the possible effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the hemp market.
