Analysis of the life and non-life insurance ČSOB Pojišťovny a.s

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je analýza životního a neživotního pojištění ČSOB Pojišťovny a. s. a vyhodnocení postavení pojišťovny na trhu s pojistnými produkty. Zkoumána budou data z let 2009 až 2011. Práce je rozdělena do dvou základních částí. Teoretická část práce se mimo jiné věnuje historii pojišťovnictví na našem území, definici základních pojmů a vývoji pojistného trhu. Součástí teoretické části je i metodika práce, která popisuje postup psaní aplikační části a metody sběru dat potřebných pro analýzy. Zdrojem informací a dat jsou především výroční zprávy, interní a veřejné dokumenty pojišťovny. V aplikační části je nejprve představena ČSOB Pojišťovna a. s. a podrobně popsány jednotlivé pojistné produkty, které jsou na pojistném trhu nabízeny. Následuje analýza předepsaného pojistného životního i neživotního pojištění, které tvoří největší složku výnosů pojišťovny. V závěru jsou analyzovány náklady, výnosy a hospodářský výsledek pojišťovny. Srovnáním výsledků jednotlivých analýz, v kapitole diskuze výsledků, přináší souhrnné poznatky o vývoji životního pojištění, neživotního pojištění a hospodaření ČSOB Pojišťovny. Z těchto poznatků vycházejí návrhy opatření v oblasti prodeje a nabídky produktů, službě zákazníkovi a také hospodaření pojišťovny.

Abstract:

The theme of this Bachelor Thesis is the analysis of a life and non-life insurance of CSOB Pojistovna a. s. and an evaluation of its position in market of insurance products. I abduce data examined between years 2009 and 2011. The thesis is divided into two basic parts. The theoretical part of this deals with history of insurance in our region, the definition of basic terms and insurance market development, among others. Methodology, which describes procedure of application part writing and methods of collecting data needed for analyses, is also embodied in this theoretical part. The source of information and data are mainly annual reports and internal and public documents of the insurance company. In application part firstly the CSOB Pojistovna a.s. is presented and there is a detailed description of each insurance product which is offered in market. Analysis of set life and non-life insurance premiums creating the greatest item of yields follows. In the end expenses, profits and economic result of the insurance company are analyses. Comparation of each analysis results in the chapter named Result Discussion brings overall pieces of knowledge about development of life insurance, non-life insurance and CSOBP managing. The suggestions of arrangements in sale and products offer, customer service and also CSOBP management come out from the pieces of knowledge.
