The possibilities of integration students with visually impairment

Abstract:

Anotace Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou integrace žáků se zrakovým postižením. V první části práce jsou shromážděny základní informace o historii vzdělávání žáků se zrakovým postižením, možnostech integrace, poznatky o zrakových vadách, pomůckách, legislativě a současných trendech vzdělávání dětí, žáků a studentů se zrakovým postižením. Je zmíněna i možnost uplatnitelnosti lidí se zrakovým postižením na trhu práce. Druhá část práce je věnována výzkumnému kvalitativnímu šetření s cílem zjistit výhody a nevýhody integrace dětí se zrakovým postižením do hlavního vzdělávacího proudu. Jsou zde porovnávány rozhovory mezi dětmi, žáky a studenty se zrakovým postižením v běžných školách s rozhovory dětí, žáků a studentů se zrakovým postižením ze speciálních škol. Dále byl diskutován s asistenty pedagoga jejich postoj k integraci dětí se zrakovým postižením do hlavního vzdělávacího proudu a uvedené rozhovory jsou součástí empirické části práce.

Abstract:

Annotation This bachelor thesis deals with the integration of visually impaired pupils. In the first part of the thesis, information is gathered concerning the history of education of visually impaired pupils, the possibilities for integration, findings about visual impairments, aids, legislation and the current trends in the education of visually impaired children, pupils and students. The employment prospects for visually impaired people are also mentioned. The second part of the thesis focuses on a qualitative research survey aimed at discovering the advantages and disadvantages of integration of visually impaired children into mainstream education. There is a comparison of interviews amongst visually impaired children, pupils and students in regular schools with interviews amongst visually impaired children, pupils and students from special schools. There is also a discussion with teaching assistants concerning their attitude towards the integration of visually impaired children in mainstream education, and the interviews mentioned constitute a component of the empirical part of the thesis.
