Práce se zabývá problémem Dolní oblasti Vítkovice a jiných technických památek v Ostravě. Práce také řeší různé předpoklady a faktory daného celku a dané problematiky. Práce se zabývá historií a využitím konkrétních objektů. Hlavní metodou používanou k vyřešení využití technických památek bylo zpracování a zkoumání knih s touto tematikou.
