Abstract:
This diploma thesis focuses on getting acquainted with the carbon footprint of aviation. The theoretical part deals with the emissions produced by an aircraft engine and an explanation of the concept of carbon footprint. The next part is devoted to methods of calculating the carbon footprint, namely ICAO methods, 3 methodological levels of the IPCC and finally aircraft operations involving flight phases …more
