Glyceraldehyd-3-fosfát dehydrogenasa byl dlouhou dobu považován za klasický glykolytický enzym. Nedávné studie odhalily, že tento protein disponuje různými aktivitami při různých buněčných procesech. Tato práce je zaměřena na shrnutí některých jeho nově objevených funkcí. Především se jedná o vazebné schopnosti GAPDH s nukleovými kyselinami, vliv GAPDH na motilitu spermií. Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase was considered as a classical glycolytic protein. Recent studies have suggested that this protein displays diverse activities within cell mechanisms.
