Cílem práce je odpovědět na otázku, jak předseda vlády Adolfo Suárez a politická strana Unie demokratického středu (UCD) ovlivnili španělský přechod k demokracii. Časově práce pokrývá období od roku 1973 do roku 1982 a kromě samotné tranzice se věnuje nečekanému volebnímu pádu vládní UCD, která ve volbách v roce 1982 ztratila oproti předchozím volbám šestadvacet procent hlasů. Abstract:
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to answer the question how prime minister Adolfo Suárez and the Union of the Democratic Centre (UCD) influenced transition to democracy in Spain. The thesis covers period from 1973 to 1982. In addition to democratization, thesis deals with the fall of the UCD in 1982 election. Party lost 26% of votes while beeing present in government.
