Ideal of womanhood : beauty from the outside and inside

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Ideál ženství: krása na povrchu i uvnitř pojednává o fenoménu ideálu krásy v současné společnosti a jejím dopadu na sebehodnocení člověka. Práce je členěna na dvě části. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou genderu, ideálem krásy v současném světě v porovnání s chápáním krásy v kontextu historie. Důležité jsou také dopady mediálních ideálů na sebehodnocení člověka. Na závěr je věnován prostor tématu masky, které má specifický význam pro výtvarný projekt Krása na povrchu i uvnitř. Součástí druhé, umělecko-pedagogické části, je výtvarný projekt realizovaný se žáky druhého stupně ZŠ Laštůvkova a ZUŠ Zbýšov. Projekt Krása na povrchu i uvnitř je inspirovaný současným ideálem krásy prezentovaným médii. Těžiště projektu spočívá v práci s vlastními fotografiemi žáků podrobených různým proměnám. K tomu účelu žáci využili postupy na bázi metod manipulace s obrazovým materiálem v masmédiích.

Abstract:

Master thesis Ideal of womanhood: beauty from the outside and inside deals with phenomenon of the ideal of beauty in modern society and its impact on self-esteem of human. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the gender issue, ideal of beauty in modern world compared with the understanding of beauty in history. There is also important the media influence on self-esteem of human. In the end of this part is mentioned theme about masks which have a specific meaning for the art project Beauty inside and outside. Part of an art-pedagogical part is at the art project realized by students from ZŠ Laštůvkova and ZUŠ Zbýšov. Project Beauty inside and outside is inspired by current ideal of beauty presented by the media. The focus of a project is in students work with their own photos which they changed.
