Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Rating“ je analýza ratingu a na základě získaných poznatků rovněž formulace doporučení pro ratingové agentury, investory, emitenty a další subjekty finančního trhu. První kapitola definuje pojem „rating“, popisuje jeho jednotlivé druhy a typy, pojednává o historickém vývoji ratingového hodnocení a procesu jeho tvorby. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na typy ratingových agentur, historii nejvýznamnějších tří světových agentur a také na charakteristiku dvou lokálních hodnotících společností v ČR. Poslední třetí kapitola je věnována současné finanční krizi s ohledem na kritický postoj veřejnosti vůči ratingovému hodnocení. Zároveň jsou zde formulována doporučení pro různé subjekty finančního trhu. Nakonec je zmíněna i navrhovaná regulace ratingových agentur za účelem zvýšení transparentnosti a vypovídací schopnosti hodnocení i eliminace kritických postojů veřejnosti vůči agenturám.

Abstract:

The subject of the submitted thesis “Rating“ is an analysis of rating as well as formulation of recommendations for credit rating agencies, investors, issuers and other financial market players based on acquired knowledge. The first chapter defines the term „rating“, describes its various kinds and types, outlines the history of rating and its process of creation. The second chapter focuses on the types of credit rating agencies, the history of the world’s top three agencies and also on the characteristics of two local agencies in the Czech Republic. The last third chapter is devoted to the current financial crisis with regard to critical public stance against rating. Above that, recommendations for various entities of the financial market are formulated. Finally, there is a mention about the proposed regulation of credit rating agencies for the purpose of the increase in transparency and explanatory power of rating as well as of elimination of critical attitudes towards credit rating agencies.
