Phraseological competence of pupils in Czech language classes in the 4th and 5th years at the 5th primary school in Cheb

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Frazeologická kompetence žáků ve výuce českého jazyka ve 4. a 5. ročnících na vybrané základní škole v Chebu se věnuje schopnosti žáků pochopit frazémy a umět s nimi pracovat. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, a to z části teoretické a z části praktické. V teoretické části se zabýváme vymezením základních pojmů frazeologie jako vědní disciplíny. Dále je pozornost věnována kompetencím ve výuce českého jazyka a jejich propojení s Rámcově vzdělávacím programem. Praktická část se zaměřuje na šetření realizované na 5. základní škole Cheb, jehož cílem je zjistit a porovnat znalosti frazémů žáků 4. a 5. ročníků základní školy, s jakými typy frazémů se setkávají nejčastěji, do jaké míry žáci chápou významy těchto frazémů a v neposlední řadě, zda je frazeologická kompetence ovlivněna věkem.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis Phraseological competence of pupils in Czech language classes in the 4th and 5th years at the selected primary school in Cheb deals with the ability of pupils to understand idioms and to work with them. The thesis consists of two parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts of phraseology as a scientific discipline. Attention is also paid to the competencies in teaching Czech language and their connection with the National Curriculum for the Czech Republic. The practical part focuses on a survey conducted at the 5th primary school in Cheb, which aims to determine and compare the knowledge of idioms of the 4th and 5th graders. Moreover, the practical part evaluates not only types of idioms the 4th and 5th grades encounter most often but also the extent to which students understand the meaning of them. Thanks to the survey it is possible to tell whether phraseological competence is influenced by age or not.
