Opinions of members of municipal council on using of the social responsibility and sustainable development principles in the concrete municipality

Abstract:

Symbolickým cílem výzkumu je upozornit zastupitelstvo vybrané obce na možnost aplikace konceptů společenské odpovědnosti a udržitelného rozvoje. Aplikačním cílem je nalezení možnosti rozvoje principů konceptů společenské odpovědnosti a udržitelného rozvoje, které by mohly ovlivnit kvalitu a efektivnost řízení zkoumané obce a celkem zlepšit život obyvatel v dané obci. Za pomoci literatury autorka definuje základní principy konceptu společenské odpovědnosti a konceptu udržitelného rozvoje, které lze uplatnit na úrovni obce. Empirická část práce je založena na analýze hloubkových rozhovorů s členy zastupitelstva ve vybrané obci. Cílem empirické části je identifikovat přítomnost a potřebnost principů společenské odpovědnosti a udržitelného rozvoje a identifikovat omezení, které implementaci těchto principů brání. Na základě zjištění byla formulována doporučení která by pomohla doplnit chybějící principy a přispěla k celostnějšímu uplatňování konceptů společenské odpovědnosti a udržitelného rozvoje ve vybrané obci.

Abstract:

The symbolic aim of the research is to draw attention of the municipal council to the posibility of applying the concepts of social responsibility and sustainable development. The application aim is to find the posibility of developing the principles of social responsibility and sustainable development that could influence the quality and efficiency of the management in the municipality and generally improve the life of the inhabitants of the municipality. Using the literature author defines the basic principles of the concept of social responsibility and the concept of sustainable development which can be applied at the level of the municipality. The empirical part of the thesis is based on an analysis of interviews with the members of the municipal council in a selected municipality. The aim of the empirical part is to identify the presence and necessity of the principles of social resposibility and sustainable development, identify the constraints that prevent the implementation of these principles. According with the results of the research were formulated the recomendations to help to supply missed principles and to contribute to a full implementation of CSR and sustainable development concepts in a selected municipality.
