Práce analyzuje, zda a jak odstraňovaný nedemokratický režim ovlivňuje průběh a výsledek tranzice. Zkoumány jsou hypotézy zabývající se autoritářskými (Juan J. Linz, A. Stepan) a neopatrimoniálními režimy (M. Bratton a N. van de Walle) které tvrdí, že charakter režimu ovlivňuje výsledek tranzice. Abstract:
This paper analyses whether and how prior nondemocratic regime affects transition dynamics and outcomes. It examines hypotheses dealing with authoritarian (Juan J. Linz, A. Stepan) and neopatrimonial regimes (M. Bratton a N. van de Walle), and claiming, that regime type affects transition outcomes.
