Cílem je nastínit a vysvětlit, co jsou přímé zahraniční investice. Jaké jsou jejich pozitivní a negativní efekty a případné dopady na ekonomiku cílové země. Dalším cílem je kriticky zhodnotit přínos přímých zahraničních investic pro rozvoj Moravskoslezského kraje v období 1990-2017.
