Abstract:

The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to indicate incidents that influenced the perception of the Communist Party USA and its position as well as the perception of American communism and anti-communism. It focuses on the early development of the Communist Party of the United States of America and the events that led to the rise and eventually to the fall of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA); the Cold War era will not be omitted as well. The thesis also mentions the ways of the CPUSA's manifestations and how the Party cooperated with the Soviet Union. The current position and program of the Party will be described at the end of the thesis.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá zejména incidenty, které silně ovlivnily pohled na Komunistickou stranu USA a její postavení, dále také na americký komunismus a antikomunismus ve Spojených státech amerických. Práce se rovněž zaměřuje na vývoj Komunistické strany USA a na události, které vedly k vzestupu strany, stejně tak i na události, které vedly k jejímu úpadku. Zmíněna bude také éra studené války. Bakalářská práce rovněž obsahuje to, jakým způsobem spolupracovala Komunistická strana USA s Komunistickou stranou Sovětského svazu. V závěru práce se zaměřím na současnou situaci Komunistické strany USA a její program.
