Práce na úvod předkládá stručný přehled britského zapojení do obchodu s otroky a otroctví a jeho zákonného ukotvení. The theme of this thesis is the abolitionist movement in Great Britain and the legislative process that led to the abolition of slave trade and slavery in the British Empire. The paper introduces a brief overview of British involvement in the slave trade and slavery and its legal background.
