Strategic analysis of a non-profit organization

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je sestavit strategickou analýzu nestátní neziskové organizace Pestrá společnost, o.p.s. a odhalit faktory ovlivňující působení této organizace. Jako první je zkoumáno makrookolí, jenž je založeno na PEST analýze. Následuje analýza mikrookolí, kde je využíván upravený Porterův model 5 sil pro specifické potřeby dané organizace. Třetí část je výzkum vnitřních zdrojů, ve kterém je kladen důraz především na finanční analýzu pomocí modelů vhodných pro neziskové organizace, BAMF a KAMF. Zde je zjišťován vývoj stavu společnosti za poslední roky 2014–2016 a aktuální stav je srovnáván s výsledky nejbližší konkurence v oblasti výcviku asistenčních psů. Dále je v rámci vnitřní analýzy zjišťována spolehlivost organizace pomocí metodiky ASNO14. Důležitou částí je následná syntéza, kde jsou pomocí SWOT analýzy shrnuty silné a slabé stránky organizace a její příležitosti a hrozby.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to compile a strategic analysis of non-governmental and non-profit organization Pestrá společnost, o.p.s. and reveal the factors affecting the organization's performance. First is the macro environment, which is based on PEST analysis. This is followed by the micro environment analysis where is used a modified Porter's Five Forces model for the specific needs of the organization. The third part examines the internal resources, it is focusing mainly on financial analysis and using models suitable for non-profit organizations, BAMF and KAMF. Here is examined the condition of the company in the last years 2014-2016 and the current situation is compared with the results of the closest competitors in the field of assistant dog training. Furthermore, the internal analysis examines the credibility of the organization using the ASNO14 methodology. An important part is the follow-up synthesis where SWOT analysis summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and its opportunities and threats.
