The purpose of the thesis is to identify stylistically significant features of abstracts in experimental research articles in social sciences. Specifically, it investigates which rhetorical moves are present in this type of abstracts and how they are linguistically realized. Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat stylisticky příznakové rysy abstraktů ve výzkumných článcích z oblasti společenských věd. Práce zkoumá, které oddíly (?moves?) se objevují v tomto typu abstraktů a jak jsou jazykově realizovány.
